Privacy Policy — 栖记 (QiJi)

Thank you for using 栖记 (QiJi) ("the App"). Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains, plainly and accurately, how the App handles your information.

Summary

The App collects no personal data. Every stay you log stays on your device. There are no analytics, no advertising, no third-party SDKs, no tracking, and no user account.

What data the App stores

The App lets you keep a personal accommodation journal (platform, hotel name, city, coordinates, check-in/out dates, price, notes, and more). All of this is stored locally on your device using Apple's UserDefaults. This data is never sent to us or to any third-party server through the App.

Network use (optional features)

The App does not request GPS location permission and does not read your device's real-time location.

In these optional cases, the system may use the network to reach Apple's geocoding and map services (e.g. CLGeocoder, MKLocalSearch):

• You choose "Other" city and enter a custom city name when adding a stay;
• You paste a hotel name to run POI search for a precise map pin.

These requests only turn text you type into coordinates or place results. They do not upload your stay list and are not used for ads or tracking. Map tiles are provided by Apple MapKit.

Data we do NOT collect

• We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or contact details (unless you email us voluntarily).
• We do not collect device GPS location, contacts, or advertising identifiers.
• We do not use analytics or crash-reporting services.
• We do not include advertising or third-party tracking SDKs.
• We do not require an account or sign-in.

Platform icons

Booking-platform icons in the App identify the source you manually select for a stay. They do not imply official partnership, agency booking, or data sharing with those platforms.

iCloud sync (optional, future)

v1.0.0 has no iCloud backup or sync. If a future version offers iCloud synchronization, it would use your own private iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit. Your data would stay in your personal iCloud container under Apple's privacy terms, inaccessible to the developer. This would be optional and off by default.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone, because we never receive it in the first place.

Children's privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.

Your control over your data

Because all data lives on your device, you are in full control. You can edit or delete any stay at any time, or delete the App to remove all of its data from your device. v1.0.0 does not include export.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at the same URL with a new "Last updated" date.
